Co-Locations

Introduction:

The OIT-CSS co-location area occupies 468 sq. ft of the Hill Center machine room's 6400 sq ft.

The Co-Lo exists to provide secure space for servers owned by
departments outside of OIT who are interested in utilizing the environmental controls, conditioned power and proximity to the Internet hand-off already existing in the Hill Center machine room.

Services:

Rack Space: Locking NRI L100R 14u rack cube; 2 keys, dual exhaust fans. (1) 15 amp 110v power (for exhaust fans and convenience use only). Larger server racks are available

Power to Servers: (1) 20 amp 208v rack-mount power controller w/ IEC C13 receptacles and current meter.

Electrical Service: Conditioned power, UPS with 20 minutes of battery backup; 10 hr (minimum) Diesel Generator backup.

The data center is fully powered during a commercial power failure.

100 MB copper network uplink; upgradeable to 1 GB Fiber

Fire Suppression and Life Safety Infrastructure

24 x 7 Accessibility via card key access doors for two administrators.

24 x 7 facility monitoring for physical security (hourly walk around, visual inspections of facility)

Fees:

Base price $3995 initial + $500 each year thereafter

For an additional charge OIT-CSS can provide service monitoring and data backup services.
