03.13.2012: Tuesday May 22, 2012 - Proposed Hill Center Downtime for Life Safety Systems Testing and Certification

Tuesday May 22, 2012 - Proposed Hill Center Downtime for Life Safety Systems Testing and Certification

Testing and certification of the Emergency Power Off (EPO) configuration, is required by life safety regulations. This requires taking the machine room down for several hours.

As a result of this scheduled down time, all services running in Hill Center will be offline during this maintenance window, including University web sites, fac/staff/student email, Sakai services, RUWireless, RUMail, etc.

This maintenance window will include a relatively short power disruption and an extended downtime for services, infrastructure upgrades, and maintenance.

We intend to use our alternate email communications plans to provide frequent status updates on our progress and expected completion times.
